Ocean Grove, New Jersey is a hidden gem of American Victorian seaside architecture. Begun as a religious retreat in the mid 19th century, it remains a quiet haven for those seeking a quiet place to live and enjoy life. No honkey-tonk piers, or rides. You can find all that in neighboring Asbury Park or farther south in Atlantic City. Ocean Grove is close to New York and doesn't usually draw people from the Philadelphia area. Eighty miles can make a big difference in thinking. Philadelphians being the proud provincials they always were will only go to Long Beach Island south to Cape May. Cape May and Ocean Grove share a lot of architectural similarities.
