Description
Dating from the Middle Ages, Prague's Old Jewish Cemetary houses remains of both the famous and humble. Saints and scholars. Rabbi Low is buried here of Golem fame. The cemetery is shaded by ancient chestnut trees. And if you are fortunate to visit at a quiet time, you will feel a great sense of inner peace. During the Nazi occupation Prague's Jews were allowed to walk these grounds as if it were a park. A cruel joke considering what was to come.
