And with a young one in training, I see! I found out that my husband had been a bit of a cardsharp after I had married him. He knows what would happen to him, if he ever went back to that way of life again! I will not have a deck of cards in the house. The risk is just too great. There are a lot of things that are not right in Peru! And, of course, many wonderful and beautiful things too! And my husband is one of the best too, but he would never have become the man that he is now, if I had not put my foot down. With a firm hand!

When I took this shot in 1974, I kind of made myself invisible to get the right moment. My dad was a bit of a gambler. Mostly horses that run around a track. His idea of togetherness was taking me along. I couldn't care less if the horse dropped dead. Too much of anything puts us out of balance. Attaining balance is a lifetime job.
