Description
Santa Maria della Salute was constructed upon deliverance from the plague. A
greatly feared occurrence before the cause and cure became known. This was taken early in the morning just as the sun was beginning to play on the contours
of the dome.

That early morning light is pretty amazing. Beautifully taken! I love the shadow of the of the one statue, and the green lamp an terra cotta roof are a nice contrast. Beautiful piece!
Ira Shander replied:
Thank-you Meg. I meant to revisit this church but time wouldn't allow me to get close. The logistics of getting where you want is not so easy in Venice. You either swim (not recommended) or take a water taxi. Not cheap. So you chose your location and plot things out from there. There are huge cruise ships exiting through the big canal. I don't think thinks have changed much since three hundred years ago. Thank-you for your astute eye.
