Great find and capture! The Rialto (Stock Exchange) is mentioned in one of Shylock's speeches in Shakespeare's play "The Merchant of Venice", in which Shylock, a Jewish money lender, reproaches Antonio, a wealthy merchant for his anti-Semitism. This derelict window and balcony look old enough to date from that period.

This was taken very near the Rialto Bridge. I almost fell into the Grand Canal. Shakespeare understood the nuance of human frailty and emotion.
