Description
London, Paris, New York. You rarely hear someone say Philadelphia, London, Paris, New York. But Philadelphia in it's quiet way is a great town. Great universities and medical schools, great restaurants, a rich history, Home of the Declaration of Independence. And also a magnificent architectural heritage. The Main Line consists of a string of suburban towns with some of the most beautiful homes to be found anywhere in the United States. Main Line refers to the old Pennsylvania Railroad rite of way. Verdant land with rolling hills and old trees surround beautifully proportioned gracious homes. Horace Trumbauer was a famous Philadelphia architect designing these homes and estates especially in the 1920's.
Many have been lovingly restored. Philadelphians take pride in their homes. Whether it's a row house or an elegant suburban colonial such as this one.
