Description
The 1926 facade of the Folies Bergere in Paris is on of the world's great art deco masterpieces.
I only wish I had had the presence of mind to make a left and see the facade in its entirety.
The Folies itself dates back to 1869. Known for it's revues and and semi nude showgirls, this was the place tourists wanted to be. Naughty Paris. Many famous stars such as Mistinguett, Maurice Chevalier, Fernandel, and Josephine Baker entertained there. Edouard Manet earlier painted his iconic Bar at the Folies Bergere. It's earlier history was equally as fabulous.
