Description
Devon Station (1884) is situated about twenty-eight miles out from the center of Philadelphia. It was originally part of the expansion of the Pennsylvania Railroad into what became the suburbs of Philadelphia. The ability to commute drove the development of these communities. The famous Devon Horse Show grounds are nearby. An annual event that draws people from around the country and world. The station still exists; and is in daily use.
