Description
Situated oddly at the edge of London's Hyde Park sits Marble Arch. Architect John Nash based his design on Constantine's Arch in Rome. Designed in the early 19th century, it was originally meant to be the entrance to the courtyard of the new Buckingham Palace. When the palace was enlarged for Queen Victoria's growing family, the arch was moved. There are many interesting details about this monument and its history which can be found on Wikipedia.

Thanks so much Richard. I was on one of those on off buses waiting for the right alignment to happen. I got lucky. Six shots later.
