Description
When I took this photo back in 1964, I was experimenting with a roll of Kodak Ektachrome 35mm color slide film. It tended to emphasize blues and yellows. Perfect for brilliant October days in the Philadelphia area. I got the idea for this composition from looking at Impressionist paintings. Two years ago, I saw in The National Gallery in London, the Monet that first inspired me to look at things this way. How radical this must have seemed in 1871.
