Description
This California twin dates back to the 1870's. I don't know if it was originally built as an apartment dwelling or single family unit. If it's still around I'm sure it's apartments. Timber was a nearby natural resource. Elaborate moldings and fancy woodwork were made on jigsaws. They used what was known as balloon frame construction. Wooden frames with board siding. This kind of Victorian architecture
requires a lot of upkeep. They are truly a gift to the streets.
